The suspension begins at midnight on Saturday and finishes on Sep 6. Dunn says he will not appeal. There was better news for popular young apprentice Kate Mallyon - she rode her first city winner on Karoo for the Pat Carey stable. Kate, 17, had ridden a string of 2nds, including two unsuccessful protests, on city tracks and was becoming frustrated at not landing a winner. She showed nice timing to lead all the way on Karoo. It was her 50th winner in little more than 12 months' riding.
