Len Xuereb and John Pascoe will be out to score a fortuitous hometown Cup win when the Steeline Gippsland Moe Cup is belatedly run on Friday. Xuereb and Pascoe are the local trainers represented in the $40,000 event, by Scenic Find and Yasey San respectively, which was rescheduled after the original Moe Cup meeting in October was transferred to Cranbourne due to the state of the track. Normally run over 2050 metres, the rescheduled edition will be run over 1600m, presenting both Xuereb and Pascoe with a chance to target a race that might have been out of their charge's reach during the Spring Racing Carnival.
