Not surprisingly, Australian Racing Board's new CEO Peter McGauran has come out and blasted the ABC's Four Corners program on alleged race-fixing and money laundering. He reckons the program's screening was "orchestrated" by the police to help their inquirie into the shooting murder of racing identity Les Samba. McGauran says the program was nothing more than a rehash of scandals of the past. he says: 'I watched the program after the sensational billing with a mixture of anger and fragility that they could present 45 minutes of television which was just a rehash of scandals of the past...Some of it was exaggerated and some of it factual...I don't think there's anything new other, except in regard to the allegations surrounding one race in Victoria. Now remember we have more than 20,000 races across Australia.'
