The Blue Diamond market is a race in two according to TAB.COM.AU. with Earthquake, from the Peter Snowden yard, now the $2.40 favourite ahead of Rubick at $2.70.

Before today's races, Rubick had dominated favouritism at $2.70 with Earthquake on the second line of betting at $4.60.

Both gallopers were favourites in the Preludes and were impressive in taking out their final lead-ups, with punters the main beneficiaries.

Taking any price on offer both youngsters, TAB customers cleaned up as big bets were the order of the day. Earthquake, a runaway winner in the Fillies category, attracted bets of $8,000 @ $1.65, $5,245 @ $1.65, $5,000 @ $1.65 (twice), $4,500 @ $1.60 (twice), $4,000 @ $1.60, $2,500 @ $2.10 and $2,000 @ $2.05.

Rubick, who had to work during the early stages to hold the lead, got a little tired late but also won easily against the Colts and Geldings. He attracted bets of $9,000 @ $1.50, $8,000 @ $1.50, $7,000 @ $1.50 and $6,700 @ $1.50. One customer even outlaid $12,000 @ $1.08 the place on the Gerald Ryan-trained colt.

As much as $2.10 was on offer when TAB opened up their Prelude markets earlier this week, with Earthquake jumping at $1.55 and Rubick starting at $1.50.
