JOCKEY Damien Oliver said he was confident that English trainer Luca Cumani has found the horse to secure his first win in Australia after working his Caulfield Cup mount Cima De Triomphe for the first time at Sandown yesterday, reports The Age.

It says: Cima De Triomphe worked strongly over 1400 metres with stablemate Basaltico, giving that horse a three-length start at the 800 metres before joining him and running to the line together in what Oliver later described as "a nice piece of work."

"He (Cima De Triomphe) is a little bit stronger than the other horses I've ridden previously (for Cumani) in Mad Rush and Purple Moon, and the best thing I would say is that while they were lightly framed and not really strong, he has got a lot more physical presence about him," Oliver said. "You'd think he would be more than suited to the Caulfield Cup, the distance of the Melbourne Cup is still a bit suspect at this stage."
