"If there is one that is pinpointed as the main runner then I'm happy to ride that horse.
"There isn't a lot between Skilled and Retrieve, they are both quality colts, and it will be a good race on Saturday."
Skilled has finished unlucky thirds in the Royal Sovereign Stakes and Hobartville Stakes while Retrieve was first-up when a fast finishing second to Ilovethiscity in the Hobartville.McEvoy admitted the barrier draw may have been the influencing factor with Skilled to start from gate three and Retrieve out in eight.
