Maiden 3YO Shamus Award is a maiden no more following his all-the-way victory in today’s WS Cox Plate. Initially the first emergency in the field, Shamus Award was granted a run in the race after long time favourite Atlantic Jewel was scratched earlier in the week.

One TAB customer was on the money when they placed $4,000 eachway at $26 and $6.55 place, collecting a whopping $132,000.

Earlier in the day, another TAB customer splashed out $30,000 (three separate bets of $10,000) on Robert Hickmott’s Seville at odds ranging from $41 into $26.

It’s A Dundeel was the subject of good support throughout the whole day and started favourite a $4.00 favourite at TAB.COM.AU

He is $9.50 out to $19 and could be out of the race, having sustained a left foreleg injury. He pulled up lame.
