Saturday's Turnbull Stakes has had a significant impact on TAB’s Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup markets. Upset winner Happy Trails is $61 into $18 to take out the Moonee Valley weight for age classic following his win at Flemington.

Puissance De Lune, runner-up in the Turnbull, is a notable drifter in Cox Plate betting ($6.50 out to $7.50). Fiorente was an unlucky fourth and has firmed from $6.50 into $5.00.

 

Fiorente is also the new Emirates Melbourne Cup favourite with TAB.COM.AU. The Gai Waterhouse-trained import has firmed from $8.00 into $6.00, displacing Puissance De Lune, who has gone from $5.50 to $7.00. The grey now shares the second line of betting with Hawkspur.
