Lloyd Williams will open the cups campaigns of Melbourne Cup winner Green Moon and Caulfield Cup winnerFawkner in Saturday’s Makybe Diva Stakes.

Williams’s two cup winners headline a Makybe Diva Stakes that will also feature Memsie Stakes winner Dissident, Peter Lawrence runner-up Spillway and Puissance de Lune, runner-up in this race last year.

Chris Waller’s triple Group 1 winner Boban will be another shooting for Makybe Diva glory.

Green Moon will be having his first start since finishing seventh behind It’s a Dundeel in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick on April 19.

Fawkner hasn’t started since his autumn cameo where he finished seventh behind Spirit of Boom in the William Reid.

Williams has booked Chad Schofield, who’ll resume from a 27-meeting suspension on Saturday, for Green Moonwhile Nick Hall will ride Fawkner.

Both Green Moon and Fawkner hold entries for the Caulfield and Melbourne cups

Ben Melham retains the ride on Memsie Stakes winner Dissident, with team Hawkes also expected to have a runner in the $400,000 race.

Australian Cup winner Super Cool will run in the Group 1 along with Sertorius for Jamie Edwards and Bruce Elkington.

Edwards said Sertorius worked well on Saturday and would have a gallop on the Geelong course proper on Tuesday.
