THE Australian influence on this year's World Cup meeting in Dubai could be the most pronounced in years following the news that dual Cox Plate winner So You Think will be entered for the Group 1 event, reports The Age.

It says: Connections yesterday confirmed that an entry would be made for So You Think to tackle one of the world's most important races.

Local sprinters Sepoy and Helmet are also set to fly into Dubai. But in making the entry, trainer Aidan O'Brien's wife, Anne-Marie, stressed that So You Think was not a certain starter in the World Cup (2000 metres) at Meydan on March 31. So You Think won three Group I races for the O'Brien stable, but has not raced since missing a place on dirt in the Breeders' Cup Classic (2012 metres) at Churchill Downs in November.

''He will be entered for the race but obviously no decision will be made until nearer the time,'' Mrs O'Brien announced via Twitter.
