Hot Radox baths will be Josh Parr's best friend on Christmas Day as he aims to get himself right for Boxing Day racing at Randwick.
Parr has a solid book of rides awaiting him on Sunday but a fall at Wyong on Thursday cast doubt over his availability.
But Darley's number two stable rider is confident he'll be fit to fulfil his Boxing Day engagements after being cleared of any serious damage to his back.
"I'm pretty sore and stiff today," Parr said on Friday.
"I got out of hospital at 8.30 last night after having X-rays and scans on my back just to see if there was any further damage to the injury I got about six weeks ago.
"I had a squashed disc and didn't ride for a few weeks and have only been back for a week.
"In the ambulance yesterday I was pretty sore in that area and a bit worried thinking I might have done more damage but fortunately I haven't, I just aggravated it a touch and I'm confident I'll be right for Sunday."
Parr originally thought he had just corked his leg when he came off Naivety shortly after the start of the opening event at Wyong.
"I'm sore now and I still will be but I'm going to make sure I'm right (for Sunday)," the jockey said.
"One other time I sat in hot baths with Radox for two days to get myself right and I'll be doing the same.
"It will probably be a good thing, it will probably keep me away from the turkey."
Parr has four rides for Darley at the Randwick meeting.
"I'm quite excited about riding the two-year-old Free Wheeling," he said.
The Ad Valorem colt makes his debut in the AJC Corporate Membership Handicap (1200m) on the back of a recent barrier trial win at Rosehill.
Parr is also booked to partner Thrillers, Rampart and Khas Kura.
