Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily has returned to the Flemington stables of Mat Ellerton and Simon Zahra for her autumn preparation which is likely to target the Oakleigh Plate and the Robert Sangster Stakes.

Ellerton said those races were her targets with the Peter Moody-trained unbeaten sprint sensation Black Caviar being aimed at the Lightning Stakes-Newmarket Handicap double.

"She came back into the stables on Friday. She looks fantastic, she spelled really well," Ellerton said of Crystal Lily.

The filly was spelled after she beat Decision Time and More Strawberries in the $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on April 3 and was put aside again after just two runs in the spring.

She returned with a second to Panipique in the Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 14 before going to Sydney where she injured herself in the Golden Rose (1400m) at Rosehill on August 28.

In that event, she was a victim of severe interference near the 1000m before she finished 11th behind the winner Toorak Toff.

"She had a busy time in the autumn and she fell to pieces when she got back from Sydney," Ellerton said.

"(She'll be aimed at) the Oakleigh Plate if she comes up and maybe she'll go to Adelaide for the Robert Sangster.

"Whatever Black Caviar doesn't run in.

"She's had a long spell and hopefully it will pay off in the autumn.

"We thought she was OK, she did get the short back and sides by the horse that crossed from the outside (in the Golden Rose).

"She came back home and fell to pieces, her back was that sore and her hock but there was nothing structurally wrong with her.

The Group One Oakleigh Plate (1100m) is at Caulfield on February 26, while the Group One Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) for fillies and mares is at Morphettville on March 26.
