Looking into the Crystal ball...Owner David Moodie, who part-owns promising 2YOs Servant and Riptide (1st and 2nd at Flemington) says he's keen for the early return to racing of another 2YO, Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily. She's back in work and Moodie says: 'She's super. She's been back in work for a week and a bit and looking very well.'

Impressive Winter Stakes winner Melito is to have a well-deserved break before returning for two big-race spring sprint runs in Melbourne. Trainer Gerald Ryan says: 'She'll run in either the Schillaci or Moir Stakes and then in the Patinack Farm.' Ryan rates Melito 'easily the best filly' he's trained. He says: 'She's a great filly and has a wonderful nature. She's had seven runs this campaign but I never gallop the heart out of her.'

Kiwi star Wealth Princess, who raced wide all the way and tried valiantly ro run down Melito, was having her last start for Kiwi trainer Brent Gillovic. She is now to be trained by Lee Freedman.
