TVN has described the suspension of three prominent on air presenters as a “human resources matter”, says a report at racingandsports.com.au.

The report states: TVN’s Melbourne anchor Bruce Clark and Sydney based presenters Caroline Searcy and Dean Pettit were suspended from duties for three months by TVN management after an inquiry into an alleged "shares for comment" affair.

Searcy, the breeding and pedigree expert for TVN, former journalist Clark and Pettit, a former jockey, are being investigated over claims they accepted free shares in a racehorse in return for free on air promotion.

TVN's acting chief executive Stephen Dole has not released any details apart from a statement that the company was dealing with a "human resources matter".

It is believed the investigation has been on-going for three months.

The trio will face charges if they are found to be in breach the Corporations Act equity rules.
