Trainer Ciaron Maher is yet another Victorian eyeing off the lucrative Sydney autumn spoils. The Caulfield-trainer is aiming Mr O’Ceirin towards the $25 million carnival.

Maher says Mr O’Ceirin, winner of this year's Grafton Cup and Naturalism Stakes, is back in work, but will miss Melbourne’s late summer/autumn carnival.

“He’ll be chasing a bit of give in the tracks so he’ll be going to Sydney and then Brisbane,” Maher says.

Mr O’Ceirin hasn’t started since he finished 11th behind Fawkner in the Caulfield Cup.

Veteran Moudre, placed in two Makybe Diva Stakes, returns to the stables this week with interstate travelling also on his agenda.
