Chris Munce warns that Golden Slipper winner Phelan Ready is looking sharp. 'He says: 'I won a trial on Phelan Ready last week and he has come back in great shape...I'm happy to be on him on Saturday.' CM rides PR in the Premiere at Rosehill but he's only warming the saddle for the 3YO's regular jockey, Brad Rawiller, who cannot make the weight on the galloper under the weight-for-age conditions of the Premiere.

Smith admitted excessive use of the whip at last Thursday's Sale meeting. He whacked the Mick Price-trained Betty's Belle on at least 14 consecutive strides over the last 200m. He's out for 4 meetings. Rawiller admitted excessive whip use at Sunday's Cranbourne meeting. He, too, is out for 4 meetings. Some jockeys are saying they may as well not bother carrying a whip.
