Comeback rider Stathi Katisidis and in form apprentice Michael Hellyer share the early lead in the Magic Millions Jockey Premiership for all Australian wins after the weekend's racing action. Both Queenslanders have won six races this season aboard graduates of Magic Millions sales - one more than Toowoomba based Adam Best and Perth's in form apprentice Alan Kennedy. Best leads the non-metro table with his five wins all coming on the cushion track at Toowoomba. One win behind Best on the non-metro leaderboard are six riders on four wins - Nikita Beriman, David Crossland, Darryl McLellan, Shaun Meeres, Carl Spry and Terry Treichel. Beriman leads the female rider race on four wins - one clear of Adelaide duo, Libby Hopwood and Clare Lindop.
