Racing Victoria's standalone country meeting experiment has proven popular among owners and trainers with big fields assembled for the feature events on this Saturday's historic meeting at Bendigo in central Victoria. The Yalumba Golden Mile has attracted a full field of 16 plus four emergencies, while at least 14 runners were paid up for in the day's three key support events.
