Thanks to a reduced suspension period, Craig Newitt can ride Pompeii Ruler in Sunday's SIA Cup in Singapore...Queensland stewards suspended Newitt for 10 meetings and fined him $2,000 for his ride on Rightfully Yours in the PM's Cup but QR's appeal tribunal reduced the 10-meeting suspension to 8 meetings and the suspension now ends at midnight on Saturday night...The sting in the tail is that Newitt now has to pay a $5,000 fine, up from $2,000.
