Damien Oliver is extending his 'holiday'on the sidelines and won't return to race riding until the Winterbottom Stakes program at Ascot in Perth on November 22.

The champion jockey's careless riding suspension, incurred on Oaks Day at Flemington, expires on November 17 but he has decided to take the rest of the week off.

Oliver is heading west to ride Angelic Light in the $750,000 Group 1 for Robbie Griffiths. Angelic Light is favourite for the Winterbottom Stakes with Sportsbet.com.au at $3.80 with Moment Of Change on the second line at $5.00.

The five-year-old mare has been in top form this campaign, defeating Lankan Rupee first-up in the McEwen Stakes before finishing fourth in the Moir Stakes and then an unlucky second after striking severe interference in the Manikato Stakes.
