HUGH Bowman extended to five his streak of Hong Kong meetings with a winner after his success at last night’s Sha Tin meeting.

Bowman partnered the Almond Lee-trained Nightlign to win, which gave him seven winners during the first half of June.

He’s now ridden nine winners since taking up his contract in late April following the Sydney autumn carnival.

Following his careless riding suspension last week, which was deferred until June 28, Bowman has four meetings left in Hong Kong before his current contract expires.

Bowman wasn’t the only Australian to impact the 11-race card with Melbourne Cup winning jockey Brett Prebble riding a double and Tommy Berry also in the winner’s enclosure.

Joao Moreira rode a double, but he’s still 16 winners behind Zac Purton, who missed the meeting through suspension.

There’s six meetings remaining in the Hong Kong season.
