Is Peter Hutchinson jinxed? After a career packed with serious injuries, the popular hoop is again on the injury list, and it's really bad. In fact, his career is in doubt after he sustained a serious break to his left leg below the knee. Doctors say it's a spiral fracture up to his knee. Victorian Jockeys' Association CEO Des O'Keeffe says the break is "quite complicated" and 47-year-old Hutchy is most despondent. In a career blighted by injury layoffs, Hutchy has notched 950 winners, including five Grp 1s and the 1993 Caulfield Cup on Fraar. How did the break occur? Jarrad Noske's Perth Cup win on Talent Show has come at a cost - he copped an 18 meeting suspension. Stewards suspended Noske on a careless riding charge for causing interference to Moonlight Bay at the 225 metre mark. Noske pleaded guilty. He begins the suspension on January 7 and returns on January 25.
