TAB has eased superstar Winx from $1.80 to $1.90 to win the Cox Plate after confirmation that Hartnell, who firmed from $3.50 to $3.00, will run in the famous race.
“Cox Plate duels are as memorable as any in racing, and we now look primed for the next edition with Winx and Hartnell set to go head to head in what promises to be a classic,” says TAB’s Nick Quinn.
Hartnell's looming presence in the Cox Plate has seen huge changes to the Caulfield Cup market with Jameka now a $3.70 favourite, ahead of Scottish ($8.00) and Exosphere ($9.00).
Hartnell remains at $5.50 for the Melbourne Cup with Jameka shortening today from $9.00 to $8.00.
