Superstar mare Atlantic Jewel has run her last race after damaging a tendon for the second time at trackwork on Tuesday.  "We’ve decided this is the time to retire her so this is what we’re doing,” says Coolmore boss Michael Kirwan.  "It is a very difficult decision but it’s not a hard one. You have to make it, that’s it.” Kirwan says the five-year-old mare is likely to "spend the next couple of weeks” at Kavanagh’s Flemington stables before being transported back to Coolmore’s Hunter Valley base to prepare for her trip to Ireland.
