PROFESSIONAL punter Mark Hunter has provided Racing Victoria stewards with the documents they requested, reports TVN.

It says: Hunter delivered his telephone records as asked for by RV deputy chairman of stewards Rob Montgomery, who headed up the Damien Oliver investigation.

It is unknown over what time frame the records relate, but it could be expected to include the Moonee Valley race on October 1, 2010 won by Miss Octopussy, which proved the trigger point to one of the biggest scandals to rock racing this millennium.

Montgomery and James Hitchcock, the other steward on the Oliver panel, will next week trawl through the phone records.

An announcement by RV is then expected as to where that leaves Hunter in the Oliver betting scandal.

RV stewards granted Hunter concessions for assisting stewards with their investigation into Oliver's $10,000 bet on Miss Octopussy at Moonee Valley on October 1, 2010.
