VRC racing manager James Earls said the club would re-examine conditions of the 1000-metre sprint, which were established last year, reports The Age.

''Yes, it is disappointing to get six starters for prizemoney like that,'' Earls said. ''We changed the race last year to set weights and penalties and were reasonably happy when we got 10 competitors, but this year it's dropped to six.
