SYDNEY'S premier jockey Nash Rawiller was a regular visitor to the stewards room at the Gold Coast yesterday. It ended up costing him $57,000 and a 12-meeting suspension, reports the Sunday Age.

It says: If losing the $2 million feature on protest wasn't bad enough, Rawiller's winning ride on Kontiki Park in the Magic Millions Stayers Cup landed him in further hot water. He pleaded guilty to careless riding and stewards added a $2000 fine to his suspension.

That came on top of losing $55,000 as a result of the Magic Millions Classic protest being upheld. Rawiller will ride Atomic Force in next week's Telegraph Handicap in New Zealand. After that, his suspension will take effect until February 8.

He will be able ride boom juvenile Raceway in the Blue Diamond Prelude at Caulfield on February 11. Yesterday was Rawiller's first day back after being suspended when he won the Grp 1 Railway Stakes on Atomic Force in New Zealand on New Year's Day.
