Classy staying mare Jameka has shortened from $3.40 to $3.30 with TAB for the Caulfield Cup following the barrier draw on Tuesday afternoon.
Jameka remains the best backed in the race, ahead of Articus ($7.50) and Scottish ($8.50).
“Jameka is all the rage for the BMW Caulfield Cup following the barrier draw where the Ciaron Maher trained mare drew barrier 13,” says TAB’s Nick Quinn.
“Tarzino, who opened a $15 favourite in pre-post betting has drawn barrier four as he looks to become the first Victorian Derby winner since Elvstroem to win Caulfield Cup the following year.”
The biggest bet on Jameka has been $4,000 at $4.00 placed on October 5 while Articus had $1,500 wagered on him at $11 on October 8 and Scottish had $2,560 bet on him at the odds of $8 on Saturday.
