Capitalist has firmed in betting for the 2YO Magic Millions after coming up with barrier two for Saturday's feature.
TAB reacted immediately to the Peter Snowden-trained runner drawing ideally by firming his price from $1.75 into $1.65.
Money already invested on the race sees Capitalist dominate with almost half of the early money resting with the son of Written Tycoon. Best backed to beat it is Zeladys Night Out, however, she has drifted from $8 to $9.50 after coming up with a horror draw (19).
“The speed has all drawn wide which will allow Capitialist to hold his spot from the inside draw and let Blake Shinn put him where he is comfortable,” TAB’s Glenn Munsie stated.
In the 3YO Magic Millions, Egyptian Symbol was the biggest firmer after coming up with gate six.
TAB adjusted the price from $5 into $4.60 with very little separating it from race favourite Mahuta ($3.60-$4.20), who came up with barrier 20.
Mahuta is the most popular runner in terms of money taken in front of Egyptian Symbol and is holding four times the amount than its main danger is, however, Munsie feels that TAB may change the market order come race time.
“Egyptian Symbol should start favourite given the record of Victorian horses having their first start at the Gold Coast is terrible. Added to that Mahuta has come up with the extreme outside.”
