A trip to Perth could be on the cards for The Cleaner if the popular Tasmanian galloper can finish in the top two in the Emirates Stakes, reports Racing Network.

That is the opinion of trainer Mick Burles, who is open to running in the Group 1 Railway Stakes on November 22.

The Cleaner's preferred method of transport from Tasmanian to Melbourne has been by boat but Burles says he would fly to Perth as a test for future racing.

"It would give us an opportunity to see how he handles the flight with the potential to go to Sydney in the autumn carnival," Burles said.

"He would need to perform well in the Emirates Stakes but the horse is fit and well, I'd be open to going across."

The Cleaner is rated a $15 chance with Sportsbet.com.au for the Emirates Stakes.

Burles said while the grand final had always been the Cox Plate, The Cleaner had pulled up so well that he decided to press on.

"20 minutes after the Cox Plate he looked like he could have gone around again," Burles said.
