A report into the New Zealand racing industry by John Messara will be released at a public meeting in Hamilton.

Australian John Messara's much-anticipated report into the New Zealand racing industry is to be released at a public meeting.

The proprietor of Arrowfield Stud and former Racing Australia and Racing NSW chairman was asked earlier this year by New Zealand Racing Minister Winston Peters to conduct a review into the industry across the Tasman.

Peters has invited all interested members of the New Zealand racing industry to the public meeting in Hamilton on Thursday week.

He will deliver a speech followed by a question and answer session from the floor.
