Gai Waterhouse will have at least three runners in the feature Theo Marks Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday when Dreamscape will bid to get his Epsom Handicap campaign back on track.

The four-year-old was a dual acceptor for the Chelmsford Stakes and Tramway Handicap at Randwick last Saturday but was scratched from both because of filling in a joint.

He has made a good recovery and will line up in the Group Two Theo Marks (1400m) but Waterhouse's racing manager Robyn Hartney concedes Saturday is D-day.

"The Epsom has been the plan from the start and when he had that easy kill first-up we were happy he was on target," Hartney said.

"But he does need to get back on track a bit.

"We'd really like to see him run in the first two or three to press on to a race like the Epsom."

After beating Murray's Sun and Rangirangdoo first-up in July, Dreamscape has finished seventh in the Missile and Warwick Stakes, both run at weight-for-age.

Hartney says he has had excuses in both and he returns to handicap conditions at Rosehill, a point Hartney believes will prove pivotal.

"He'll be going from 58-and-a-half kilos to 53, and even though it's a 52 kilo limit because it's a quality, he will be much better suited," Hartney said.

Dreamscape will be joined in the Theo Marks by stablemates Common Objective and Rock Kingdom who are both resuming.

Tuesday Joy has also been entered but Waterhouse is leaning towards giving her a barrier trial at Warwick Farm on Friday instead and starting her a week later in the George Main Stakes.

The John Singleton-owned mare threw a scare into the stable last week when she had inflammation in a joint but a trip to the Randwick Equine Centre cleared her of any serious problem.

But it did cause her to miss a fast gallop on Saturday and Waterhouse will now be racing the clock to get the multiple Group One winner to her spring goal, the Melbourne Cup.

"We were worried (about the Cup) before she even had this setback," Hartney said.

"She came back as big as a house and it's taken us forever to get her fit."

Tuesday Joy is one of six Group One winners entered for the Theo Marks along with Racing To Win, who won the event in 2006, and Mentality who is also nominated for the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley.

Triple Honour, who was third to O'Lonhro in the Chelmsford Stakes on Saturday, Mr Baritone and stayer Newport are the others.

There are 12 nominations for the Group Three Kingston Town Stakes (2000m) including New Zealander Mr Tipsy and last start winners Absent Friends and Emperor Bonaparte while star mare Hot Danish heads entries for the Research Stakes (1200m).
