Warpath, who posted her first win in modest circumstances less than 12 months ago, will provide the Group One focus for a select John O'Shea team at Rosehill on Saturday.

O'Shea will saddle up two-year-old talents Foxwedge and Elite Falls but it will be a grey mare who will be his Group One trump in the $600,000 Coolmore Classic (1500m).

Warpath was taken bush to break maiden ranks when she won at Goulburn last April.

Defeats have been few and far between since as the daughter of Reset has taken her career record to seven wins from 12 starts.

Her most recent victory - in the Aspiration Quality at Warwick Farm last Saturday - stirred O'Shea into thinking about richer prizes.

O'Shea came away from Randwick trackwork this morning convinced Warpath deserves a shot at some serious black type.

"She is as tough as old boots and her work showed she has taken no harm from Saturday's win," O'Shea said.

"This year's Coolmore doesn't look to be quite as strong so we'll give her a shot."

Warpath is one of 11 runners weighted on the 52kg limit but will safely make the field of 20 after being 17th in ballot order for the fillies and mares feature.

Melito is a confirmed Coolmore runner after the two-time Group One winner was given 59.5kg.

The four-year-old returns to racing against her own sex after two weight-for-runs, including a first-up victory in the Apollo Stakes.

She will concede four kilograms to her closest weighted rival - the 2009 Queensland Oaks winner Purple.

Palacio De Cristal, placed as favourite in last year's edition with 52.5kg, goes up two kilograms on Saturday.

Melbourne jockey James Winks will be reunited with Group One placegetter No Evidence Needed, on paper the best of Patinack Farm's two runners.

No Evidence Needed will go into the race third-up.

It was at the same stage of her spring campaign when she returned a career-high rating as she ran a close second to Response in the Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield.

Patinack Farm will also start Happy Hippy but the mare was still without a rider on Tuesday.
