Six Group One stars as well as numerous other stakes winners have had their spring build-ups delayed because of Sydney's wet weather.

Despite Saturday's Warwick Farm meeting going ahead, Tuesday barrier trials at the outer Sydney suburban track have been postponed until Friday.

But in a sure sign the major spring races are on our doorstep, the Warwick Farm heats are star-studded as Sydney's elite racehorses prepare to start new campaigns.

The opening three heats were scheduled for the course proper with classy rising three-year-olds Satin Shoes, Streama, Pane In The Glass, Glissade, Anise, Fast And Sexy and Win For Wilson kicking off proceedings.

Group One winners Sacred Choice and Secret Admirer headline the second heat which also includes Trusting and Red Tracer, while the third course proper heat features Randwick Guineas hero Ilovethiscity and Railway Stakes winner Gathering.

Neeson, Pinwheel and Triple Elegance are also among the entries in heat three.

Last year's AJC Australian Oaks winner Once Were Wild is pencilled in to go around over 1200m while former Hong Kong star Happy Zero, now in the care of the Hawkes racing team, will make his first appearance for his new stable at the trial session.

Doncaster Mile winner Sacred Choice will be making her first appearance since the autumn as she builds up to her return in the Group Two Warwick Stakes next month.

Stablemate Neeson will be having his third trial with trainer Joe Pride pencilling in the Missile Stakes (1200m) on August 6 for the rising five-year-old's return.

Neeson hasn't started since last year's Epsom Handicap.
