Australian Global Sprint Challenge contender Scenic Blast has been flown out of Melbourne for his UK debut in the Group One King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 16.

The Perth-trained sprinter worked at Flemington on Wednesday morning and will join champion sprinter Takeover Target at the stables of leading Newmarket-based trainer Geoff Wragg.

"Takeover Target is already there so it will be good to have a mate, another Aussie, there with us," trainer Danny Morton said.

Scenic Blast hasn't raced since defeating Queensland sprinter and Group One Oakleigh Plate winner Swiss Ace in the Group One Newmarket Hcp (1200m) at Flemington on March 7.

Two starts earlier he won the opening leg of the 2009 Global Sprint Challenge, the Group One Lightning Stakes (1000m), in similarly impressive style at Flemington on January 31.

"If he can get there in one piece I'm sure he'll acquit himself well," Morton said.

Scenic Blast will also run in the Group One Darley July Cup (1200m) at Newmarket on July 10 following the Royal Ascot carnival.

"There's a nice break between the race and the July Cup," Morton said.

"It's going to be a great experience for us all."
