Consistent gelding Twin Wing will take the next step in his bid for an overdue stakes success at Randwick on Saturday.

Trainer Guy Walter has identified the Listed Grafton Cup (2400m) in July as the winter target for Twin Wing who has five black type placings to his name.

Those placings include a close third in the 2009 Grafton Cup and a third last time out in the Wagga Cup (2000m) on May 7.

The seven-year-old runs in the 2000 metre open handicap at Saturday's meeting which celebrates 150 years of racing at Randwick.

Although disappointed Twin Wing has not yet snared a stakes victory, Walter is not disappointed in the horse who is a stable favourite for his tenacity and record of seven wins and 15 placings from 45 starts.

"He is a lovely, honest old fellow who never runs a bad race," Walter said.

"He handles all surfaces and always gives them something to catch."

Twin Wing's natural freegoing style means he is usually in front or close to the lead, at times making him a sitting shot for the backmarkers.

That was never more evident than in last year's Grafton Cup when he was beaten a nose and a half head by Castle Heights and Hume.

Twin Wing's stablemate Yallingup is also entered for the 2000m race at Randwick as well as the 1600m Benchmark 85.

The four-year-old ran fourth in the Epsom Handicap in the spring on a heavy track with his two career wins both on rain affected ground.

Last time out on May 14, he made ground late to finish 3-1/2 lengths seventh in the Scone Cup won by Keepin The Dream.

Think Money will be out to shed the unwanted tag as Australia's best maiden in the 2000m handicap.

The Bart Cummings-trained mare demonstrated her talent when second to Daffodil in the 2009 AJC Australian Oaks but victory has still eluded her after 24 starts.

Her 10 placings include a third in the Moonee Valley Cup in October and third in a Kembla Grange maiden last Saturday week.

Stradbroke Handicap hopeful Centennial Park and his David Payne-trained stablemates Emperor Bonaparte and Empire Place are entered in the 1100m open handicap.

Former West Australian sprinter Hay List is also among the 21 nominations as he approaches his first start for John McNair.

The winner of eight of his nine starts in Perth, Hay List has not raced since recording his only failure at Ascot in November.
