Oliver was unable to take his last two rides at Sandown on Wednesday after he struck his knee on the barriers when Mondera burrowed under the gates before the start of the Mookta Handicap (1000m).
Mondera was a late scratching after being caught by the clerk of the course while Oliver was treated on course.
Oliver said while his knee was sore he would be fit to ride this weekend.
The injury cost him the winning ride on Be Mine in the last race, the December Handicap (1400m). Greg Childs replaced Oliver.
Meanwhile, apprentice Jarrod Fry posted his first Melbourne win on Leica Ding in the Morse Code Handicap (2400m).
Fry, 19, is apprenticed to Leica's Ding's Ballarat trainer Darren Weir and he has ridden four city winners in Adelaide.
Fry has had only a handful of Melbourne rides but booted home Leica Ding by a length from Mr Marciano and Samburu Warrior.
