Trainer John O'Shea believes the best is yet to come from Jessicabeel starting with Saturday's Adrian Knox Stakes where she steps up to 2000 metres for the first time.

The filly is by champion sire of stayers Zabeel and will use the Group Three race as a stepping-stone to the AJC Australian Oaks (2400m) a week later.

Punters think the Gai Waterhouse-trained Above Perfection is a safer bet in the Adrian Knox and she is the $2.25 favourite with Jessicabeel at $8.50.

Oaks betting tells a different story.

Jessicabeel has been backed from $21 in to $17 while Above Perfection is at $26.

Jessicabeel has the chance to make it three consecutive wins in the Adrian Knox.

O'Shea has a strong team at Randwick including Olonana in The Galaxy, Polaway in the Carbine Club Stakes, Espurante in the Sapphire Stakes and rates Jessicabeel as one of his best chances of the day.

"She's been winning over unsuitable trips and I've got no doubt that she will thrive over the 2000 metres on Saturday, she really is one of our best hopes," O'Shea said.

Last time out Jessicabeel displayed plenty of class and determination to hold out Grager by a long head over 1600 metres at Warwick Farm on March 25.

Two weeks earlier, her fighting qualities and ability were on display when she defeated Mocha Coffee by three-quarters of a length over 1550 metres at Canterbury.

"She's done very well for us since her last start and is a filly on the way up," O'Shea said.

"She's really benefited from a couple of good, aggressive rides from Timmy (Clark)."

Above Perfection has a win and two placings from her three starts and comes into the Adrian Knox after being overhauled late by the Bart Cummings-trained Allez Wonder in the Listed Keith Nolan Classic (1600m) at Kembla Grange on March 22.

Two weeks earlier she scored a commanding all-the-way win at Warwick Farm where she defeated Rajasi by three lengths over 1400 metres.
