In-form galloper Title might have to beat more than just two rivals on Saturday but trainer Joe Pride believes the gelding is on target for a third straight win.

Title was the beneficiary of eight scratchings at Randwick two weeks ago when he was left with just two rivals in a 1200m Benchmark 85.

The four-year-old dispatched them easily, winning by 4-1/4 lengths, and has trained on well as he looks to bring up a hat-trick of wins in the Giftcart.com.au Handicap (1200m).

Pride has elected for the softer option over 1200m with Title rather than taking on Open company horses over 1400m in the CFMEU Constructions Handicap.

"The 1200-metre race just looked the better option for him," Pride said.

"I put him in the Open race in case it fell away a bit, but it hasn't."

Pride will also start Ladys Angel in the Fisher Fitouts Handicap (1500m) after she also scored a comprehensive two-length win on the heavy track at Randwick on November 6.

The ease of both Title and Ladys Angel's last-start victories has Pride confident the pair is set to run well again on Saturday.

"They were both pretty painless wins to watch and pretty painless for the horses too," Pride said.

"It didn't take much out of them and they've both trained on well."

Ladys Angel has won three of her five starts and Pride said he would love to see some rain which would enhance the mare's chances of another victory.
