Tony Gollan has become a believer in miracles.

Somehow, the Toowoomba trainer will be at the Gold Coast on Saturday to saddle up four runners including Spirit Of Boom in the Magic Millions Guineas and stablemate Temple Of Boom in the Magic Millions Sprint.

On Wednesday, Gollan was resigned to staying at home to watch the gala race meeting on television with the major roads to the Gold Coast cut by floodwaters.

However, Gollan and other Toowoomba trainers have found a back route through the floodwaters to Warwick and will use Cunningham's Gap to make the long trip to the Gold Coast.

"I wanted to go to the Gold Coast for the sales yesterday so I tried out a back route and managed to get there," Gollan said.

"It took three and a half hours when normally the trip takes around two and a quarter hours going the normal way to Brisbane.

"I'm going to send Tiyatro who is in the Magic Millions Maiden down with Higgins Transport but I'll truck the other three down myself."

Gollan saw the worst of Toowoomba's horrific floods earlier this week and along with many of his fellow Toowoomba trainers is feeling the pain of the tragedy.

"We had a big tragedy here this week in Toowoomba but after a few days we've got to get back to business as usual," he said.

Gollan is confident Spirit of Boom can win the Magic Millions Guineas despite a disappointing eighth to Celtic Dancer on a heavy track at the Gold Coast on January 1.

"If you forget his run last start his form has been great and he's in with a real big show," Gollan said.

"He'll come in to barrier eight and will run a terrific race.

"He had 58.5 kilos last start from an outside alley in a big field so we elected to ride him quiet.

"He was never on the track and it was a good run under the circumstances."

Spirit Of Boom has only had the one start on a heavy track and Gollan is hoping for another miracle for a track upgrade.

"The Gold Coast is a good wet-weather track and who knows what might happen if they don't get any rain," he said.

Gollan has no wet weather concerns with Temple Of Boom who is unbeaten from two starts on heavy going.

"The conditions won't worry him and he's effective in any condition," he said.

Temple Of Boom, a Corey Brown mount, won the Listed Swisse Stakes (1100m) at Flemington in November before finishing third to Deer Valley at Doomben on December 18.
