Pin-up mare Forensics holds a special place in trainer Peter Snowden's heart.

And while his heart wants her to win Saturday's Queen Of The Turf Stakes, Snowden's head knows she faces a big task.

The 2007 Golden Slipper winner won last year's Queen Of The Turf to give Snowden the first Group One win of his training career after he took over the Woodlands operation from John Hawkes.

That win also brought the curtain down on the famous Woodlands racing and breeding concern with Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Australia assuming control after Bob Ingham's shock decision to sell.

Snowden was retained as trainer by Darley and gave his new boss a Group One trophy when Sousa won the Spring Champion Stakes with Forensics adding the Myer Classic to her record later in the spring.

Sydney's wet weather will pose many questions at Rosehill on Saturday, and Snowden is cautious about her prospects against Hot Danish.

"Turn the weather off," Snowden said.

"The wet is her biggest threat - well Hot Danish is also a big threat.

"It's going to be very tough for her but she will definitely be running."

The only time Forensics has raced on a heavy track was in the 2008 Doncaster in which she finished 14th of 20 but had her share of excuses.

"She'd won the Golden Rose and the Queen Of The Turf and was at the end of her preparation in the Doncaster which is the only time she has raced on a really heavy track," Snowden said.

"She had barrier 16 and was smashed early so really it was not as bad as it looked in the finishing order on paper."

Hot Danish is the dominant favourite to win the race ahead of Forensics with New Zealand mare Culminate third pick.

The Les Bridge-trained Hot Danish was scratched from the Coolmore Classic on race eve amid fears she would incur a Doncaster penalty if she won.

The Coolmore (1500m) was won by unbeaten Melbourne filly Typhoon Tracy from Culminate who has three wins and a placing from four starts on slow and heavy tracks.

Snowden has three runners in the Queen Of The Turf with champion jockey Darren Beadman's mount Neroli rated a $14 chance by TAB Sportsbet while three-year-old Portillo is one of the outsiders at $41.
