The first international entrants for this year's spring racing carnival are due to arrive in Melbourne on Tuesday.

Hong Kong raiders Mighty High and Silver Grecian, both in the care of legendary Hong Kong horseman John Moore, are scheduled to land at Tullamarine at 1pm before heading to the Werribee Quarantine Facility.

Mighty High is entered for both the $2.5 million Caulfield Cup (2400m) and the $6.2 million Melbourne Cup (3200m).

The Peintre Celebre six-year-oldgelding has won six of his 18 starts including his last start over Mr Medici and Viva Pataca in the Group One Champions and Chater Cup (2400m) at Sha Tin in May with Darren Beadman in the saddle.

Travelling companion Silver Grecian is being set for the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on September 24.

The five-year-old gelding has won four of his 12 starts including a last-start victory in the Sha Tin Mile Trophy (1600m) when ridden by Beadman at Sha Tin in July.

Mighty High will land in Australia as a $35 Caulfield Cup chance with TAB Sportsbet and is at $41 for the Melbourne Cup.
