Newcastle trainer Kris Lees will give Golden Slipper aspirant Elimbari a gallop between races on her home track on Saturday before deciding on her next start.

Elimbari has been one of the most impressive youngsters to step out in Sydney and is currently a $15 chance with TAB Sportsbet for the $3.5 Million Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill on April 3.

Lees said he was looking at either the Group Two Silver Slipper Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on February 27 or the Group Three Kindergarten Stakes (1100m) at Warwick Farm a week later for the filly's next start.

"She'll gallop between races on Saturday (at Newcastle) and then we'll decide where we head," Lees said.

"She has had a little let-up in the stable and has done very well." Elimbari is a three-quarter sister to brilliant juvenile Amelia's Dream who won the Silver Slipper two years ago by 6-1/4 lengths.

An hour after the race, Amelia's Dream was found to have a serious leg injury and efforts to get her back to the tack failed and she was retired last year.

A daughter of Fastnet Rock, Elimbari has only had one start winning by a long head over the Peter Snowden-trained Celts in an 1100m 2YO Fillies Handicap at Rosehill on January 16. The pair cleared out from the rest of the field with 4-1/2 lengths to the third placegetter. Lees abandoned plans to take her to Melbourne for next Saturday's Blue Diamond Stakes to concentrate on the Golden Slipper.
