Trainer Anthony Cummings made a big effort to pay attention to the men's fashions at Tuesday's autumn carnival launch at Randwick but had more pressing things on his mind.

Top of the list was getting Solo Flyer into the Doncaster Handicap field after his Newcastle Newmarket win was not deemed worthy of a penalty.

He also has a big team heading to Warwick Farm on Wednesday and will deal with what to wear on Doncaster day.

"Once they go beyond a blue suit, I'm lost," Cummings said.

"And the way things are looking it's going to be hard to get Solo Flyer into the race so I won't have to dress up."

The first option is to run Solo Flyer in the Group Two Ajax Stakes (1500m) on Saturday, a quality handicap which could attract a weight penalty for the winner.

The other alternative is to run in the weight-for-age George Ryder Stakes a week later and count on a lift in the horse's ratings.

Solo Flyer has 51kg in the Doncaster on April 18 and is currently 29th on the published order of entry.

He has been given 55 kilograms in the Ajax Stakes, the same as Group One winner Reigning To Win and three kilos less than topweight Orange County.

The decision regarding debutante Tallow was somewhat easier with Cummings to run the two-year-old in a restricted race at Warwick Farm rather than Saturday's Group Two Magic Night Stakes.

The filly, who is raced by John Singleton, pleased Cummings with her second in a barrier trial on March 13 and will run in the Vale Jack Schell Handicap (1000m).

"She trialled very well and depending on what she shows us she could go on to better races this autumn," he said.

"She'll be entered in everything except the Slipper. Singo was keen but I don't think she's ready for that."

Stablemate Olympiad will wear a tongue tie in the Munday Handicap (1600m) following her last-start failure on February 28 which came three weeks after she shed her maiden status.

The filly has been thoroughly checked out regarding upper airway issues but nothing significant came to light.

Among her opponents is Oaks-bound Jessicabeel from the John O'Shea stable, an impressive last-start winner over 1550 metres at Canterbury on March 11.
