Peter Moody says an indefinite suspension to horse transport by domestic airlines will not stop him from taking champion Black Caviar to Brisbane for two Group One races next month.

However he said if the world's highest-rated thoroughbred "didn't seem 100 per cent" the trip would be off.

Black Caviar is having a short break at Willow Wood Equicentre at Murchison in northern Victoria and Moody will inspect her in the next few days before he makes the final decision on whether to "press on" to Queensland with her.

The unbeaten Bel Esprit four-year-old made it 12 straight wins and five Group One victories in succession in the TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) at Randwick when she ran down the brilliant Hay List and scored by 2-3/4 lengths last Saturday.

That was her fourth run in and next month's BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben and Doomben 10,000 (1350m) were to round out her campaign.

The plan had been for the mare to be flown to Brisbane to accustom her to travelling on a plane ahead of a possible trip to race in Hong Kong in December.

"It won't impact any decision I make," Moody said of the flight situation.

"I was looking at giving her experience in case she does end up on an aeroplane going overseas, but it's not the be-all and end-all.

"I've always got the option of floating her which I do with a lot of my horses."

Air Horse Transport representative Chris Calthorpe said there had been no movement of horses by air in Australia for two weeks due to procedural changes.

He had been told it would resume some time after Easter but had not been given an exact date.
