In-form mare Aloha may have earned a crack at the Group One Coolmore Classic after extending her winning streak at Flemington.

Price had his reservations about Aloha's fitness first-up in Saturday's Group Three PFD Food Services Stakes (1400m) but he need not have worried as the $2.15 favourite powered home to win by two lengths from Flying Tessie and pacemaker I'm Discreet.

Mindful of the improvement to come, Price is warming to the idea of running the four-year-old in the $600,000 Coolmore for fillies and mares (1500m) at Rosehill in two weeks.

Owned by retail magnate and Magic Millions owner Gerry Harvey, Aloha has won seven of her 16 starts including her last four runs.

She finished her last campaign with a victory in the Listed Lord Stakes (1700m) at Caulfield and continues to improve with every run.

Price said he had trained her kindly and she was a bit "underdone" on Saturday to give her every chance of having a long campaign.

"She only had one 650m trial ... but the race (on Saturday) worked out beautifully with barrier one, doing no work, and having enough at the finish to get out," Price said.

"I think she is a pretty underrated mare."

He said the Coolmore and next month's Group Two Queen Of The South Stakes (1600m) in Adelaide were options.

"You try to improve their status all the time with these mares," Price said.

"She (Aloha) had a good summer break and should have a good prep.

"She is a really good 1600 metre-type of horse and it is just a matter of finding the right races and keep her winning."
