PETER Snowden has mapped out a three run Sydney start for dual Group 1 winner Guelph’s spring campaign, reports Racing Network.

Snowden said Guelph, winner of the ATC Sires Produce and Champagne Stakes, would run in either the Silver Shadow or Furious Stakes before stepping up to the Tea Rose Stakes then the Group 1 Flight Stakes.

He said Guelph would then head to Melbourne for the Group 1 Thousand Guineas on the middle day of the Melbourne Racing club carnival.

Golden Slipper runner-up Sidestep will resume in The Run To The Rose on route to the Golden Rose before heading to Melbourne for the Guineas Prelude and Caulfield Guineas.

Safeguard, winner of the Kindergarten Stakes at the tail end of the Sydney autumn carnival, could resume in either the San Domenico at Rosehill on August 17 or the Vain Stakes at Caulfield the same day.

Stakes winners Metastasio and Montsegur are likely to begin their spring campaigns in Melbourne in the Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 17.

“I’m happy with them all, they’re all in fast work now. It’s full steam ahead,” Snowden said.

Snowden will start stable veteran Skytrain in Saturday’s Monash Stakes at Caulfield.

It will be the third state that Skyrain has run in over his past three starts.

He as runner-up behind stablemate Rarefied in the Listed Hall Mark Stakes, finished midfield in the Luskin Star Stakes at Scone in early May.

At his last run Skytrain finished seventh behind Howmuchdoyouloveme in the Healy Stakes at Eagle Farm.
