Blue Diamond Stakes winner and Golden Slipper runner-up Earthquake is only a week away from fast work as a big spring campaign looms.

Trainer John O’Shea told Racing Network on Monday that this season’s outstanding two-year-old had spelled well and been back in work for a month.

“She’s in very good order. I don’t think she's grown a lot but she seems very well,” O’Shea said.

“She’s a week away from starting her fast work,” he added.

Earthquake will race in Sydney before coming to Melbourne for the carnival.

“Her aim will be the Flight Stakes in Sydney then we’ll assess where she's at.

“The Thousand Guineas in Melbourne is always an option with fillies of this class,” O’Shea said.

Earthquake won four of five starts during the season and her only defeat was in the Golden Slipper by Mossfun.

The daughter of Exceed And Excel has won almost $1.6 million in prizemoney.
