Stunning tipping by the PPD Club's chief form analyst Brian Blackwell this week. The 'king of the longshots' landed some brilliant tips on Wednesday and Thursday.

BB nabbed his headline special ROYAL ISLAND 1st $5.30 at Donald and gave Club members a massive payoff by naming runner-up Kenjorwood 20/1 ($5.60, 2nd) as the main danger! The quinella paid $53.70 and the exacta returned $104.80. A Field-for-3rd trifecta bet for $18 paid $535! The previous day, BB had strucxk with 2 eachway specials - ISLAND BAR 1st $8.10 and CHLOE ANNA 1st $4.50.

Here's exactly what BB advised our members abour Royal Island:

Big run last start, proven 2nd-upper, handles the trip, drawn well...I like the look of the stats for (1) Royal Island 11/2 in race 6, the Porter Plant Cup (BM70 hdcp) 1354m at Donald on Thursday. The Dubawi 4YO ran a closing 2nd/15 to Tristram's Sun in a BM70 1300m at Sandown-H on June 4 when having his first start since late November. He's a smart type at best and he goes well 2nd-up with 3 tries for 2 wins and a 2nd. The base formline is his BM70 win at Ballarat 1400m last Nov 13. He carried 59kgs, won by a half length and conceded 3.5kgs to the runner-up. Drawn nicely in gate #1, and with Jordan Childs claiming 1.5kgs, Royal Island gets every chance. Shooting for some value, I rate the likely danger runner as the Peter Moody trained (5) Kenjorwood 16/1. The 4YO has run well off a spell and it's interesting that Moody is putting him over 1354m - a trip which will enable him to unwind a big finale from well back on the turn.
