Another stunning tipping performance by PPD Club chief Brian Blackwell. The master-blaster tipped Saturday's Toorak Hdcp quinella and exacta with his bracket pairing of SOLZHENITSYN 1st $6.80/$2.30 and TREVIERES 2nd $14.80/$4.70. The quinella paid $47.90 and the exacta returned $93.80. A Field-for-3rd trifecta costing $30 returned $1,709. Here is exactly what BB told our members:

The French challenger (12) Trevieres 12/1 could be the KO chance in race 9, the Toorak Hdcp (Grp 1) 1600m at Caulfield, though I am bracketing him with the reliable (2) Solzhenitsyn 4/1. Trevieres has sound form back home in France. He absolutely bombed a good field at his latest start to win at Deauville 1600m on Aug 11.  The 6YO, now owned by Australian interests, hasn’t started since then but he's been working a treat at Werribee. I am expecting a big effort from him.  It goes without saying that the Rob Heathcote trained 7YO Solzhenitsyn is a major player. He ran 2nd/10 in the Theo Marks (Grp 2) 1400m on Sep 14 and at his latest run was 3rd/16 to Rebel Dane in the Grp 1 Clarke Stks 1400m at Caulfield on Sep 29, narrowly btn. He’s won from 4 from 7 over the 1600m trip.
